United HealthCare recently purchased Heath Plan of Nevada and Sierra Health and Life.  This purchase brought several new features to the Las Vegas Small Group Marketplace.  In the past, coverage was normally only   offered in the state of Nevada and a few surrounding counties in Utah, Arizona and California.  Now, with all Point of Service (POS) plans and some PPO options the United HealthCare ChoicePlus^© Network is available outside of the state of Nevada.  With the acquisition of Health Plan of Nevada, United HealthCare is now the sponsor of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Health Plan. 

In addition to the plans offered by Health Plan of Nevada and Sierra Health & Life, United HealthCare offers a wide range of PPO plans to employers under 50 employees.  These options include traditional deductible / co-insurance / co-pay plans, Health Savings Account (HSA) options along with Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) options.
